Asia Bibi update.

  1. That Asia Bibi and her family would heal from the trauma of the past decade and be strengthened as they build a new life in Canada For all Christians in Pakistan who are imprisoned or awaiting trial on false charges of blasphemy, that they would be released and justice would be done That Pakistan's blasphemy laws would be made fairer and that Christians wouldn't be targeted.ASIA BIBI: “YOU ARE IN GOD’S HANDS AND YOU ARE VITAL” You're probably familiar with Asia Bibi's story - that she was convicted under Pakistan's harsh blasphemy laws in 2010, and was given a death sentence. She was finally freed on 31 October 2018, and left Pakistan the following year. Asia (pictured above) spoke to the Open Doors team in Paris on Friday 28 February about her experiences. She says, “I had a lot of patience and hope in my heart while I was in prison. And I was certain I would be released one day because I was innocent. I knew that someday I was going to be free.” Thank you to everyone who has been praying for Asia over the last ten years. To you, she says, “God is with you in the exact way He was with me. You are in God’s hands and you are vital.” Asia is one of the 24 women whose stories we’ll be sharing, one every hour, on International Women’s Day this Sunday 8 March. You can follow the stories on Open Doors Facebook and Twitter. Read more of Asia Bibi’s interview in Paris.

Heavenly Father, I lift up all these situations and our sister to you in prayer. In Jesus's blessed and holy Name, I pray, Amen.
