Loud

Joshua 6:20 (NIV)

When the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed.

When did we last shout loudly, praising our God in our congregations? Has our Christianity become too flaccid and toothless? Are we so civilized in our churches that we hesitate to sing and worship our Father? Remember when the Pharisees rebuked Jesus and wanted Him to stop the people from yelling, "Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of the Lord" (Luke 19:39)? God inhabits the praise of His people (Psalm 22:3, KJV). When Christians become too civilized to shout loud praise unto our Father in heaven, we short-change the power of God Almighty. The power of loud praise is not in the decibels of the loudness but in the power of an Omnipotent God who comes and lives among His people who so loudly adore Him.
